About me
Sara Neil-Spencer is the Regional Workforce Advisor for Cherokee, Spartanburg and Union counties. She has served in her current role with the Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) since November 2023. As a Regional Workforce Advisor, Sara connects students, educators, and administrators to employers in the three-county region to develop a workforce that will meet the needs of both existing and prospective industry. Passionate about education, Sara has focused her efforts on programs and resources that empower students to learn more about the opportunities in the Upstate. Sara holds an MA from Sam Houston State University in Higher Education Administration and has eight years of prior experience working in the State Technical College system. When not working, she enjoys hiking, trying her hand at new cuisines in the kitchen, and spending time with her husband and her "Halloween" cat, Thackeray.
