The Palmetto Education Summit 2026

Dr. Vickie C. Butler serves as the Director of Adult Education and Family Literacy for the Edgefield County School District, bringing over 30 years of experience as an educator, administrator, and counselor to the 2026 SC Palmetto Education Summit. An Edgefield County native, Dr. Butler holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Seventh Day Adventist University, a Master’s from the University of South Carolina, an Educational Specialist degree from Augusta University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from South Carolina State University. Throughout her three-decade career, Dr. Butler has remained committed to nurturing the academic and personal growth of her students. A motivated leader dedicated to helping others unlock their full potential, she strives to empower individuals to embrace lifelong learning to master the evolving demands of the 21st century workforce. Dr. Butler is a long-time resident of Edgefield and the proud mother of favorite children: Kevin-Jacob and Natasha.
