Dr. Deb Hazzard, a native of Columbia, South Carolina (USA), has served as an Associate Dean at Darla Moore School of Business (DMSB) since her historic appointment in 2019 when she became the first African-American academic in a leadership role in the school's 100-year history. As a Management Department faculty member since 2016, she teaches corporate responsibility and stakeholder management, and leadership courses. She is an inaugural Faculty Fellow in the DMSB's Center for Sustainable Growth. Dr. Hazzard holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a bachelor's degree. Additionally, she earned Qualified Administrator designation for the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) assessment tool and the Intercultural Conflict Styles (ICS) assessment and is also Hogan Personality Assessment Inventory certified. She is a 2021 Richland School District One (SC) Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of a 2022 Alumni in Action award from her alma mater, Lower Richland High School.
