Beth Lechner, an experienced educator, serves as the Program Director of Career Kids for SC Career Kids, where she leads the development and implementation of after school Career Clubs and career focused camps across South Carolina.With a background in education and a passion for student engagement, Beth oversees certified teachers who facilitate Career Club locations, coordinates weekly career experts, and helps design hands on curriculum that connects what students are learning in school with the world of work. She works closely with schools, community partners, and industry professionals to ensure students have meaningful exposure to a wide range of career pathways.Beth plays a key role in expanding Career Clubs across multiple districts, including LexRich 5, Lexington 1, and Richland 2, while supporting additional schools as the program continues to grow. She also trains educators in the SC Career Kids model, helping maintain high quality, interactive programming that inspires students to explore their future dreams.Her work focuses on building a strong workforce foundation early by empowering students with confidence, communication skills, and real world awareness. Through intentional career exploration, hands on learning, and strong community partnerships, Career Kids aligns with the pillars of the Afterschool Alliance by supporting academic growth, career readiness, student voice, and community connection.Beth’s leadership ensures that students are not only introduced to careers, but are equipped with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed throughout their educational journey and into their future.
