Candace W Lane, brings 36 years of dedicated service to public education, grounded in an unwavering belief that public schools are the fabric of our society. With 14 years in the classroom, Candace developed a deep understanding of the art and science of teaching—recognizing that students are the true purpose of our work. This foundation has shaped a career marked by progressive leadership roles, including instructional coach, assistant principal, and middle school principal. Currently serving as Executive Director for Middle Level Education at Horry County Schools for the past eight years, Candace continues to champion educator excellence and student success. Passionate about developing teachers and leaders, she understands that the greatest factor in student achievement is the classroom teacher. Through strategic leadership and meaningful investment in educators, Candace remains committed to strengthening schools and transforming lives through education.
