Andrew Hendrix serves as Director of External Recruitment at the University of South Carolina Aiken, where he leads initiatives focused on international recruitment, admissions strategy, and dual enrollment partnerships. With more than two decades of experience in higher education admissions, Hendrix brings extensive expertise in enrollment management, student recruitment, and institutional collaboration. Over the course of his career, Hendrix has worked with prospective students at Winthrop University, Virginia Wesleyan College, and the University of South Carolina Aiken. He previously served for 23 years as Director of Admissions at USC Aiken, overseeing all aspects of the admissions process, including recruitment strategy, application review, enrollment decision-making, and admissions operations. In his current role, Hendrix plays a key role in developing and sustaining dual enrollment pathways for high school students across South Carolina. He works closely with school counselors and district partners to design pre-college experiences that align with students’ academic goals and postsecondary aspirations. His work is especially focused on the long-standing partnership between USC Aiken and Aiken Scholars Academy, where he collaborates to help students navigate rigorous, college-level coursework while still in high school. A native of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, Hendrix holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Winthrop University. He is a strong advocate for public education and takes pride in his family’s educational journey, as both of his children are graduates of public high schools and public universities.
